The other day I was just minding my own business when I suddenly entered nirvana. Being part of the infinite universe for a short period of time has certain advantages. One of them is infinite knowledge. Using this temporary enlightenment, I quickly made my way to learn more about what really interests me; global warfare, genocide and general death and destruction. Like a tower of light I found the complete synopsis of World War III: The Revolution as will happen within 100 years of our current time. Because of the humanitarian I am, I will share my new found wisdom with the rest of the soon-forsaken world.
First, we must place all events-to-come on a place on the Great Timescale. WWIII will take place approximately 20 years after the withdrawal of USA troops from Iraq.
Now for the warring nations. If I mention ‘World War’, it is likely that one of the first things that comes to mind is Germany. Hence it will surprise no one that Germany is, again, one of the aggressors. Allow me to explain; in the future, Germany and France will cooperate while slowly usurping influence and power throughout Europe and the European Union. Of course the rest of Europe will notice, but not after it is too late to reverse the process. Eventually Germany and France will start producing weapons en mass and reinstate conscription. In the meantime, Turkey is still not part of the European Union and has lost nearly all prospect due to the coup by the army and being ruled undemocratic. Germany and France make a pact with Turkey (known as the Vienna Pact) promising Turkey a place in the EU in exchange for military support. Note that France already possesses nuclear weaponry.
Then, on a faithful May the 15th, hell breaks loose. Germany and France declare themselves the New Paneuropean State and in an impressive display of power quickly annex Switzerland, Austria, Denmark and the Czech Republic. Also the Netherlands’ and Belgium’s attempt to remain neutral fail miserably. The whole process takes less than a week. Naturally, the UK responds by declaring war on Paneurope and finds allies in Russia, Spain, Italy and the US. Spain succumbs to Paneuropean pressure and falls rather quickly. Italy, Russia and the UK skirmish across borders, with Italy on the defensive and the UK and Russia actively attacking, but not really gaining ground. In South-eastern Europe Turkey, true to the Vienna Pact, seizes Cyprus, the Eastern part of Greece and virtually all nations between them and Paneurope. Greek islands are transformed into nigh-impenetrable fortresses by the Greek army.
Further to the East, Iran has completed its nuclear weapon project and drops the first atomic bomb since the destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Several are used in fact, transforming Israel (all but Jerusalem) into a desert of glass. The USA responds in kind, obliterating Iran’s capital Tehran. The Arab League declare hostilities against the United States. Paneurope, seeing potential allies in the Arab League, threatens to use atomic retaliation if any more Arab nations are bombed. The Arab League, Turkey and Paneurope (including annexed states), under the protection of Paneurope’s nuclear arsenal form the Paneuropean Powers (PP).
To summarise, we have;
The Paneuropean Powers consisting of Paneurope (France and Germany + annexed states), Turkey and the Arab League (including, but not limited to Iraq, Egypt, Saudi-Arabia, Lebanon, Marocco and Palestine).
Against the United Allied Forces (UK, Russia, US, Canada, Australia, Italy).
