BERLIN – According to the police, a 16 year old student from Berlin died after a night of what they call ‘comadrinking’.
The student had 4,8 permille alcohol in his blood when he arrived in coma at the hospital a month ago.
He drank 52 glasses of tequila in a short period of time.
The police is investigating if the owner of the pub or if its visitors can be prosecuted for the fact that they didn’t stop him.
That’s sad.. not the boy, I don’t care about him, he drank himself to death.
And don’t come to me with that peer pressure bullshit.
I mean, I have been offered probably over 100 dollars worth of drugs, more than 100litres of alcohol, and I think about a dozen cigarettes. I never took the drugs, or the cigarettes. And I only accepted the alcohol offer if it was appropriate and more important, if I knew from who the offer was coming from: a friend who I trust. Made me not the most popular guy in class or school, but at least I didn’t end up with a drugs or cigarette addiction or in this case: in my grave.
Now lets get back on topic: They want to blame the owner of the pub and/or its visitors.
There is only one situation the owner and/or its visitors are to blame, and that’s when the boy was tied up and actually forced to drink. Well as that isn’t the case then there is no one who can be blamed for the acts of the kid.
What if he was surrounded by screaming and cheering friends or people?
It couldn’t be friends, friends wouldn’t do that. That is if they aren’t mentally retarded.
Let’s assume that IF there were cheering people around him encouraging him to go on and on.
First of all, and let this be a wise lesson: Never ever let yourself get manipulated this easy.
Second of all if you are easily manipulated, then there should’ve been some kind of border which you don’t cross. And if you are so weak minded that you will cross your own borders just because some random people tell you to, well… that’s just plain and plain stupid and you probably deserve to end up in the hospital.
At least his kids won’t end up this way, and we have another candidate for the Darwin Awards!
Conclusion: Everyone is responsible for his or her own deeds, unless he or she is threatened with death in person and the person who is threatening you is right in front of you, or when he or she is brainwashed. In all other situations, you suck.
